One system that streams it all
Packed within the MCR611's compact dimensions is a serious music streamer. Connect to your Internet hub via Ethernet or the upgraded Wi-Fi connection and you're ready to receive near limitless entertainment. vTuner gives you access to thousands of Internet radio stations from around the world. Or you can listen to your own music library via DLNA compatible streaming. Just link your NAS drive or PC into the hub and you're good to listen.
Ready for Spotify Connect
Spotify Connect uses your existing Spotify account but seamlessly transfers it between sources. Listen to Spotify on your mobile device on your way home then, when you arrive back, transfer it to the Marantz system at the touch of a button. Whether you use 3G or 4G, wi-fi or LAN, AirPlay or Bluetooth, Spotify Connect simply keeps the music following - seamlessly.
Now with Bluetooth NFC
New to the MCR611 is Bluetooth NFC connectivity. In addition to Apple's AirPlay you now have the option of transferring music on your mobile or tablet via Bluetooth. With NFC (Near Field Communication), making the connection is as simple as tapping your device against the system.
Twin USB sockets for iOS and PC connectivity
Connect up your Apple iOS device to the front USB socket and you'll not only enjoy high quality music playback but also charging of your Apple device - even when in standby. The rear USB is ideal for a permanent connection, such as to your PC or Mac.
CD player built-in
As an added bonus, the MCR611 features a built-in CD player. Marantz make some of the best CD players on the market, so it's little surprise to find the MCR611 plays CDs to a very high standard. For added flexibility, it will also play MP3 and WMA music files stored on disc.
DAB FM radio
Another feature over the MCR511 model is the built-in DAB/FM radio. A choice of DAB and FM gives you access to a wide range of local and national stations. For ease of use, RDS (Radio Data System) is included on the FM tuner.
Connect up your TV and games console - now with two digital inputs
Around the back of the MCR611 you'll find two optical digital inputs and one RCA phono analogue pair. Perfect for connecting sources such as your TV, games console or set-top box, the MCR611 improves the sound of much more than just your music.
Quality sound from a class-leading player
As you'd expect from this highly respected hi-fi company, the Marantz MCR611 is a superior sounding mini system. A higher than average 50 watts (at 6 ohms) per channel gives it greater punch and depth of bass than many of its rivals. Added to this, the digital amplification uses less power than a conventional amplifier giving you the best of both worlds.
Twin speaker outputs with individual volume
Just like its predecessor, the MCR611 comes with speaker A/B outputs for music in a second room. Where the '611 goes one better, though, is in offering individual volume control for the second set of speakers. This means that you can pump up the volume in your main room while keeping it at a lower level in the other - or vice versa.
Compact and curvaceous, the MCR611 is stylish yet unobtrusive. For a sleek appearance, Marantz have limited the button count to a minimum. You can control the Melody Stream via the supplied remote control or by an app for your Smartphone (Apple or Android).
One very neat system that not only streams but also plays your CDs and favourite radio stations; the Marantz MCR611 is the total all-rounder.
